We are creators. Our natural state of being is to constantly create. When we are not creating, we are destroying. Creativity can transform ANY emotion into something brilliant and magical. I always like to tell others that we should all choose to be more like children. Children are the most creative beings alive. They are always curious, therefore they are always learning and innovating.
Many people think that creativity is a beautiful song, a book or a painting on a wall. That actually is a result of creativity. It is actually a mirror of the inner self. When you create you expose to the outer world what you possess on the inside. So, if creativity is a mirror of your inner self than can you guess what your purpose in life is?
Your purpose in life is to tap into and unleash your creativity to its maximum potential. When you do this, you will then start to create those brilliant ideas into tangible material such as: a book, a painting, music, a delicious recipe or even a kind word. Then when you start to do all this, you will begin to inspire others to do the same. Creativity is contagious when it comes from a place of love and transparency.
But how can you tap into your own creativity? I will share with you three things that I have done for the past years that have helped me unleash my own creativity.
- What are children always doing? They are always using their imagination. Start practicing this daily. Even if it’s for 5 minutes. Forget that you are an adult and tune into that power of imagination.
- Have FUN!!! Yes, we all have responsibilities but if you start to have more fun life will seem more pleasurable. Act like a child. Dance. Wiggle. Laugh. Jump in the rain.
- Be your true authentic self. This means that you will have to ignore what others say about you.
A huge part of being creative is being authentic. You do not have to be the next Elvis Presly nor the next Picasso. All you have to be is your best version!!
